Brink Storyline Analysis Empty Brink Storyline Analysis

After reading this part of the new interview KAS posted

Also, conflicts can arise for systemic, not just personal reasons. For example, in Container City the Security receives creditable intel that the Resistance are developing a bio-weapon; they can't take the chance, they have to go in and grab it. On the other hand, the Resistance players are told it's a vaccine. What if they're both being lied to? What if they're both right?

I remembered about the ending of this video. (Advance to 3:50)

And this is what I thought.

What if the ARK was built for some kind of secret experiment on people?
What if they were all lied to and they are lab rats? Where they left alone
with no contact at all in the middle of the ocean on purpose? I think that
the green glowing thing at the end is some kind of secret weapon to see
what effect it will do to human beings. Everyone in The Ark has been lied
to. The liar(s) told the resistance that the security is building a secret
weapon and vice-versa. Do you guys know where I'm getting to, here?
Maybe at the end of the story the resistance and the security will team
up to fight the real threat and to save every one and save themselves.
There is something though, do you guys remeber the short clip of the Ark
exploding? Maybe everyone will die. Who knows? Richard Ham does! xD

EDIT!

While continuing the interview I kept on thinking about the Ark exploding
and I came down to this. What of everyone in the ARk was infected by
the glowing-green thing and they figure that out, team up with each other
and kill themselves because they know they are now a threat to the world.

Maybe at the end they are gonna be rescued by the bad guys and they
have something planned to stop them and make them infect other somehow.

Brink Storyline Analysis Empty Re: Brink Storyline Analysis

Okay Captain Impatient.

I don't think the story will be that complex. Besides, that'll make it will kinda make the story a little less interesting and the entire franchise (if it ever becomes one) A LOT less likely for more than 1 sequel.

First of all, the whole; "You think this is happening, but really THIS IS!" is so over done in both movies and video games it's not even funny. 2010 was a good example for both movies and games, we had The Black Swan and Call of Duty: Black Ops pull that rabbit out of the hat. It's not a bad concept, I just need a break from it, and I think most others do too.

I think, and from what we know, is the Ark was an experimental island, that FLOATS over the middle of the ocean and is capable of supporting the lives of ONLY 5,000 people now has to sustain life with over 50,000! Now, you are right in the fact that it is a place, where scientists and thinkers have gone to making us less reliant on the planet and more on reusable resources and wealthy blokes go to build a money maker. After the environment crisis escalated, people fled to "The Shipyard" and the Ark became far to over populated, and that's why the revolution begins; the Ark (from within') loses complete contact with the outside world, the renewable resources deplete and Resistance and Security forces fight for control over the Ark.

So as far as the glowing thingy, I don't wanna guess at what it is because everybtime I do I'm so wrong it's not even funny. Besides the reason why I wanted to avoid this topic is because it's making me want the game so much more and we still have 3 months and some odd weeks to go...

I don't want to think about the story. Some of the stuff the Captain said was pretty cool, and whatever the thing is at the end of Container City is obviously neither a bio-weapon or a vaccine, so it is possible. They have said over and over that they want multiplayer combat mixed in with single player compelling story, but like I said, I never think about the story of a game I am excited for, because If I think of a really cool idea for where the story could go, I usually inadvertently self-spoil the answer, so it sort of makes the surprise a bit less interesting. This has happened about 5 times now, damnit.
