The Drop Shot/Dolphin Dive

In the new black ops game, they are gatting rid of the ability to go from jump to prone. Instead you are unable to shoot for a few seconds while you jump to prone. Honestly I dont see any freakin use for this. I dont think it will really help and it just limits you on what you can do in the game.

Any comments on it?

Not really much to add except you can never take out a quick scope, even if you put up the scope in 5 seconds, you can still shit when it's halfway up or something.

I think dive to prone is a good idea. I mean, you can do it in real life. I think, if done right it can save your ass, but done wrong will get you slaughtered. I see no problem.

The only problem I see, is that you can work your way around this. Example, in Day of Defeat, it didn't have drop shots, but you could either go to prone in a sliding motion or by diving. To Dive you Sprint/Ran jumped and almost immediately pressed the prone key and you'd go prone. To slide you just sprint/ran and pressed the prone key.

For some reason, Treyarch just made you make the leap, however form what the video shows, it doesn't do anything to dramatic from the player view... it just looks like a bitch to shoot in world view (or when it's happening to other players).

Treyarch needs to stop catering to the noobs though.

I think its just another feature to master, nothing too game altering.
CoD will continue to get more N00b friendly, no matter who develops, so long as Activision is in control, CoD will get easier to appeal to a wider audience. Take CoD4 compared to MW2. In MW2, noob tubes are wayyyyy easier to aim, snipers sway less and are 1HK anywhere on the body, and it takes about 5 shots from anything to kill somone.
