Homefront: A struggle to compete Empty Homefront: A struggle to compete

Unless you've been under a rock the past 7 years, Call of Duty has dominated the sales market. It started with Call of Duty being critically acclaimed and by 2005, Call of Duty 2 would be an XBox 360 exclusive release the same day as the console, and it was a smash hit online. It was the most played online title on the 360 till Halo 3 came out along with Call of Duty 4, then World at War came out and took the top spot, struggling with Gears 2, the Modern Warfare 2 came out and online gaming has never been the same. Now with the release with Black Ops and the new game "Homefront" on the horizon, it's going to be interesting to see how well it stands out, compared to Call of Duty. Will it rise above the competition, or will it misfire and crumble like Medal of Honor?

Sean Dunn, creative director at THQ for Homefront, and ex-publishing producer for games like Dawn of War and Company of Heroes sat down with Gamasutra and conducted an article with some interesting questions and responses as to what they had to do to make the game stand out.
