Sony's NGP (AKA PSP2)
For a while, people have been trying to get any information on Sony's next handheld... and finally it's announced! I don't know much nor really care much for handhelds so here are some videos on the Sony NGP!
Here's the first campaign trailer...
Some games have already been announced the NGP, including such blockbusters as Call of Duty, Uncharted, Metal Gear, and Killzone. Epic Games have even showcased their Unreal Engine 3 on the portable, which is really impressive, considering the engine is impressive as well. Tim Sweeney showed of Dungeon Defenders, which was originally supposed to be Epic Games iPhone game using the Unreal Engine, now gone portable for the NGP.
As you can see, for a portable the graphics are pretty impressive, I hope the game runs as well as it looks.
The NGP is doing away with the UMD format for either downloads and flash based cartridges (reports GI editor Phil Kollar). "Digital distribution’s role and scope and ratio of sales will definitely increase,” says studio president Shu Yoshida. “It’s just a matter of time as people get faster Internet connections. So the role and importance of digital sales will increase. But at the same time, there are people who just want to buy a game at a store and plug and play. That’s why we decided to adopt the flash media format."
Did I mention it's a touch screen now? Oh... well it is... So if you don't have a girl friend to finger, or yourself... you now have a NGP. (Sorry for the vulgarity, the age of touch screens is going well for me, they only annoy me because I think people look more retarded with touch phones than actors acting like their playing video games in movies... and that's hard to accomplish).
This damn thing is packin' heat.
Screen: 5" OLED 960 x 544 pixel resolution
Touch Pads: Front and rear
Cameras: Front and rear
Networking: GPS, Wi-Fi, and 3G capabilities.
Controls: 2 Analog sticks, 1 d-pad, Classic X, Square, Triangle, Circle button layout, left and right bumpers.
Graphics Processor: SGX543MP4+
CPU: quad-core ARM Cortext-A9
Here's more information on the portable...
In this video you can see a little of what looks like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune... and it looks amazing!!!
Very impressive, Sony, I'll keep you posted on the price, Sony has avoided telling anybody so you can probably expect this to be $300+. I say if you don't have that money, give it time, and let Sony get kicked around for it and Nintendo dominate them for a few years, then they'll do what's right and make the price reasonable.

Re: Sony's NGP (AKA PSP2)
I was just gonna post something about the NPG or NGP... whatever.
I also don't like handhelds too much, I actually don't like them, I only
have a GameBoy Advanced, and it IS epically awesome.
But this, this looks awesome, but I will not buy it, the price is around
$300 -$350. I MIGHT buy this when it goes down to 100 or 150 bucks.

I think it's more like a PS3 in your hands.
