Bizarre Creations closes, Activision looks to sell it. *UPDATE*
Yeah you read the title right. :/
Because of the low sales of Blur and 007: Blood Stone (I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT I SWEAR!) Activision is looking to make a "potential sale of the business". Activision states:
"Bizarre is a very talented team of developers, however, because of the broader economic factors impacting the market, we are exploring our options regarding the future of the studio, including a potential sale of the business."
Founded in 1994, Bizzare Creations is responsible for Geometry Wars, the Project Gotham Series, and the recent Blur and 007: Blood Stone, which wasn't bad but for some reason didn't critically make it well among releasing a week prior to Black Ops.
*UPDATE* (11/17/10)
Good news folks. Turns out the studio isn't shutting down, Activision is just selling the studio. The bad news is, if the studio doesn't get picked up in 90 days, things or going to go very south for the studio, considering they received a consultation for 90 days. The good news however, Microsoft is very interested in picking up the studio, at least, that's what the anonymous source stated. I could see why Microsoft is interested, Project Gotham is considered one of the best racing series ever, and it's been an XBox Exclusive 4 titles straight, why stop now?

BASTARDS! They're one of the best dev companies ever! They are surely the king of racing games.
Also, Viacom is about to sell Harmonix to Activision or EA
Bastard publisher companies only care about profit, they dont care if they have their names on the best or worst games.
