Rumored: Madden Curse Movie

One of the biggest gaming controversies of all time that literally caused the harm of people... not to mention professional NFL athletes may get a movie. Nothing interesting about the movie has be announced aside from it being announced. However, rights from EA have been signed over to movie producers for Army of Two, Mass Effect, and Spore.

I cannot even begin to get this. A movie about a ame about a sport? How?

Just to clarify things...
Army of Two will be a movie... there won't be a movie about the game like there's a game ABOUT Madden's Curse.
Honestly, AoT will probably be a low budget film considering even the games sucked... the concept is okay, but nothing is great about it.

I think everything does need to have a movie now, specially epic games like Red Dead Redemption, and the movie True Grit looks like tha game so it basically has a movie already...And Enslaved, the storyline is awesome, and a movie must be made, and AoT needs a movie just like other descent games that have a good storyline, at least that's my point of view.

Your fairly right about epic games needing movies... Games that have good stories should be movies. Games that rely heavily on Gameplay SHOULDN'T be made into movies. A Street Fighter movie? Who here plays/played Street Fighter for it's story? A game like Mass Effect, sure that could be a movie even though it has good gameplay. But a game with a bad story and bad gameplay? IDK about that...

Another thing, True Grit is just an amazing movie. It's based on a 1960s John Wayne movie which was also amazing and considered John Wayne's best movie. However, it didn't use Red Dead as a source for getting a western feel, however... the upcoming Cowboys vs Aliens does.

I haven't played any Street Fighter games, but I believe it is somehow
like Tekken, like why will there be a movie about Tekken? xD

But why can a game not be as respected or treated as if it were as important as a movie? If 6 days in Fallujah was gonna be a movie, that would be green lit, and been and gone from the cinema by now. Probably critically acclaimed, too, seeing as everything that is based around American soldiers in sandy-terroristy-stan MUST be given awards. Did you see Hurt Locker? Sucked.

Yeah, why can a game not go down in the pages of history like Citizen Cane or something? I realize we haven't had anything too incredible yet, but I don't like that games are treated as less important.

Oh and Enslaved is already based on a book called Journey to the West.
